There are many important things regarding our faith that Paul could have said. But considering this opportunity to be his last, his words are carefully chosen to share what is most important. So the things he shares with us today in our passage are not just good things to keep in mind. It is the essentials and the most important things he wanted to leave with the elders of Ephesus. And from it, I want to argue today that our life’s mission is fulfilled when we are committed in covenant to one another as a church.
